The historic first uniform coinage of British India, uniting the Presidency currencies into a single imperial standard under King William IV. Masterfully engraved by Royal Mint Chief Engraver William Wyon, featuring the bare head of King William IV and reverse laurel wreath with EAST INDIA COMPANY. Certified NGC AU-58 with lovely original golden cabinet toning.
The Bombay Mint issue (mint mark \'B\') is one of the most collected varieties. Struck in 50% silver, this coin represents a transition from the British era to independent India and holds immense historical and numismatic value.
